The A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center is Now Open!
The newly completed A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center is open to the public after the nationwide search for a Museum Coordinator has ended.
The Gainesville CRA led the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the A. Quinn Jones homestead, located at 1013 NW 7th Ave, into the A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center. The Museum, completed in February of 2017, features a permanent exhibit on the community leader and educator A. Quinn Jones. The museum also features stories of other residents in Gainesville’s early years who were champions of the civil rights movement and honors the legacy, culture, and history of the historic Fifth Avenue/Pleasant Street neighborhood.
