DOWNTOWN GAINESVILLE HOTEL AND CONFERENCE FACILITY
The Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) requests a letter of interest from parties interested in developing a proposed hotel and conference center in Downtown Gainesville, Florida. The CRA is proposing a conference center/hotel for Alachua County’s (the County) “Capital Projects that Promote Tourism” request. The proposed development will contain a publicly-owned, multi-level conference center with highly flexible space, a privately-owned, full service hotel and potentially, street-level retail. If awarded by the County, the project will utilize funding generated from the County’s hotel bed tax, up to $7 Million. The Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is offering a matching grant as an incentive to business owners and owners of building to clean extensive graffiti within the Eastside, Fifth Avenue Pleasant Street and College Park University Heights Redevelopment Area. Eastside Redevelopment Area Existing Commercial Building Facade Grant Program
The Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has just recently launched the Existing Commercial Building Façade Grant Program for the Eastside Redevelopment Area. This matching grant provides financial assistance for eligible building and business owners who wish to improve the façade (storefront) of their business located in the Eastside Redevelopment Area.
With the anticipated addition of new redevelopment projects and enhancements to public streets, now is the perfect time to make improvements to the exterior of your storefront. Façade improvements are a great way to enhance your business and improve the overall appearance of the neighborhood. Program Currently on HOLD!
