The CRA constructed and sold three new homes in the Pleasant Street neighborhood as a part of the Model Block Program to enhance the vitality of the Fifth Avenue Pleasant Street neighborhood. Each structure sold for homeownership and the impact of the program is extraordinary. The CRA is now moving forward with construction of three parcels in the Fifth Avenue neighborhood at 321 NW 7th Terrace, 403 NW 8th Street and at 725 NW 4th Avenue. The Model Block project is a successful revitalization approach to create conditions to help ensure that the historic legacy of the neighborhood is celebrated, residents’ pride in the community is strengthened, and private investment in surrounding properties is increased. |
